Happy New Year!

Welcome back to school.

We would like to welcome our new Headteacher, Mrs Forster and our new Year 5 teacher, Miss Smith, to Fiddlers Lane.

We have lots of exciting things planned for 2025 and we will continue to keep parents and carers informed via the school app – ParentApp Connect and Dojo.

Letters for afterschool clubs are going out 8th January.

Late Arrivals

Please can we remind you, school starts at 8:40am. The register is taken at 8:45am. Any pupils arriving after this time will be marked late.

On Thursday 29th September, we organised a fundraising event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We are overwhelmed with the generous donations and are pleased to announce that a huge £415.14 has been raised.

 Thank you

Red Nose Day 2022

Here are some photos from our Comic Relief Fundraising day this year. The children put so much effort into their fantastic outfits! We will announce the total amount raised very soon!

Blue Peter

Year 4 had the amazing opportunity to both watch and take part in a Blue Peter show this morning.
We travelled to Media City in Salford Quays where we sat on set and supported the presenters as they filmed scenes for next week’s show.
Two of our children were very lucky to have been picked to take part in a baking challenge with the Blue Peter presenters and Kezia, the winner of Junior British Bake Off. To find out who won, you will have to tune in next week!
The show will be on TV on CBBC and BBC iPlayer on Friday 11th March at 5:00pm.
SAM – School Attendance Mascot
We are happy to introduce SAM our new Attendance Mascot.
The Big Sam (larger teddy) will be the class mascot and he will join the class with the best attendance for the week. For a chance to win one of the smaller teddies (The Little Sam), pupils have to have had 100% attendance and not been late for a full half term. We will be giving out 2 of those every half term.
Good luck everybody!
Well Done
This morning we invited ‘The Baking Nanna’ in to school to present Year 1 with some wonderful prizes from Homepride Baking.
Jess entered a competition online and was lucky enough to win a prize, not only for herself but for our school too!
Thank you to the Baking Nanna, Jess and Homepride!

Greater Manchester Community Renewables (GMCR) has offered a grant of £1,000 to Fiddlers Lane Primary School. Our school was one of the first to benefit from community-owned solar panels installed on our roof by GMCR
